In this session, attendees will be introduced to basic AI tools with practical demonstrations on how these tools can streamline daily operations in optometry practices. Participants will learn to use AI for tasks like voice-to-text transcription, generating patient education materials, and automating social media content. The hands-on exercise will help attendees set up their own AI solutions, enabling them to improve practice efficiency and enhance patient communication immediately.

Upon conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:

• Describe the basic principles of artificial intelligence (AI) and its relevance to modern optometric practices
• Demonstrate how to use AI-powered voice-to-text tools to enhance clinical documentation efficiency
