The Optometric Practice Act defines the limits of Optometric Physicians within the state of Florida. The Rules are further definitions of the Optometric Practice Act to educate the optometrist to ensure protection of the citizens of the state of Florida. Unlicensed activity is the practice of optometry without a valid Florida license and comes under the purview of the Attorney General.
