Tensions can run high in a practice. Misunderstandings, wait time, insurance questions and unmet expectations are just some of the ways frustration can set in and cause people to become difficult. There are also times when disagreements can happen between team members, causing tension and low morale. This course will explore various ways to resolve conflicts and give strategies to help calm difficult people.

Upon conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:
Define triggers that can cause contention
Define ways to create a safe space for patients and team members
Create a plan to diffuse anger and confrontation
Use phrases to help deescalate difficult people
Identify triggers specific to team members and work environment
Establish boundaries to keep yourself calm and sane in chaos
