Phernell Walker, II, MBA, ABOM, LDO, NCLEC

Phernell Walker, MBA, ABOM, LDO, NCLEC is a renowned, sought-after international speaker. Anyone who meets Phernell knows optics and business is his passion. Phernell authored the textbook Pure Optics, which is used in several optometry and opticianry colleges. He is a Past Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmic Optics at Pacific University College of Optometry. Phernell is an International Optician Association Top Four Opticians in the World (2024, 2023) and one of only a few hundred people to earn a Master's in Ophthalmic Optics. He serves on the board of directors for the American Board of Opticianry, Opticon (Co-Chair), and the Opticians Association of America. He is the Vice President of Optometric Relations at VSP Eyefinity. His educational achievements include an MBA, a BS in Business, and an AS in Ophthalmic Optics. Awards include; the Joesph Bruneni Award from the Association and Schools and Colleges of Optometry, Beverly Myers Award in Ophthalmic Optics, NAO Educator of the Year, and the Helen Keller Benefactor Award for his work in optics.
