Heidi Bell, OD, FAAO, FOVDR

Dr. Heidi Bell, OD, FAAO, FCOVD earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, in 2012. Dr. Bell's commitment to excellence led her to pursue advanced training through a Residency in Primary Care Optometry, where she dedicated her time to serving under-served populations in various public health settings in Memphis, TN.

She achieved Fellowship status in the American Academy of Optometry in 2015 and became a Board Certified Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) in 2019. Dr. Bell's dedication to the field led to the creation of Elite Vision Therapy under the umbrella of Elite Eye Care in 2015. Elite Vision Therapy specializes in providing non-invasive therapeutic services to patients dealing with binocular vision dysfunction, amblyopia, strabismus, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

Dr. Bell's passion extends to children's eye care and vision rehabilitation. Beyond primary and pediatric eye care, she excels in treating patients with amblyopia, strabismus, and learning-related vision issues. Her expertise also encompasses pediatric contact lenses and myopia control.

Dr. Bell holds memberships in various organizations, including the Iowa Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and The College of Syntonic Optometry (CSO). Her commitment to community well-being is exemplified by her role as a Board Member for the Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation. In this capacity, she actively supports the foundation's mission of providing dental, vision, and overall healthcare to underserved Iowans.
