Dr Jacqueline Theis OD FAAO is an optometrist with residency training in neuro-optometry, binocular vision, and children's vision. She is an international speaker and published author, with clinical experience and research interest in photophobia, and oculomotor disorders related to traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, mild cognitive impairment, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and stroke. Dr Theis sees patient’s clinically in private practice as well as performs clinical research with multiple academic institutions. She is a current Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University, School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and former Founding Clinic Chief and Assistant Clinical Professor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry Sports Vision and Concussion Clinic. Dr Theis volunteers her time as a leader to her profession serving on editorial boards for international journals and is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Virginia Optometric Association (VOA), and American Academy of Optometry (AAO). She is a member of both the national AOA Evidence-Based Optometry and AOA Vision Rehabilitation Committees
